Position: Speech Therapist

Organization: Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC)

Job Locations

1. DEPD Baldia Centre: Baldia Town, Gulshan-e-Mazdoor, near Kifayah Pharmacy & Supermarket, Karachi.

2. Adam Goth – Rah-e-Nijat, Karachi.

3. Maskan-e-Rahat: Numaish, Karachi.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Education & Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a BS in Speech and Language Pathology (BS SLP) or a relevant degree in Speech and Audiology from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Only candidates with relevant qualifications in Speech Therapy / Speech-Language Pathology are eligible to apply.

• Relevant clinical experience in speech and language therapy, pediatric rehabilitation, developmental delays, or communication disorders will be preferred.

• Valid professional registration, where applicable, is required.

• Important: Candidates holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or other unrelated qualifications will not be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans according to clients' needs.

• Provide therapy for speech and language delays, articulation disorders, stammering, and communication difficulties.

• Support children with developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

• Monitor client progress and modify therapy plans as required.

• Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes, and progress reports.

• Guide parents and caregivers regarding home-based therapy activities.

• Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.

• Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.
